A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) begins by assessing your child’s skills and discussing your concerns. This may include observing relevant activities, exploring communication needs, and identifying circumstances that make certain routines difficult.
The findings guide a treatment plan with measurable goals. Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) deliver direct therapy under BCBA supervision, while session records help the clinician evaluate progress and make adjustments.
Family feedback remains part of that process. If a strategy is difficult to use at home or a new concern comes up, bring it to the team. Treatment decisions should account for your child’s response, comfort, and changing needs not just whether a task was completed.
